grinding-in-shop-fabAll piping projects are broken down into Shop vs. Field Fabrication. Shop Fabrication has many advantages, including a controlled environment for Bolt’s step-by-step process of fabrication, NDE testing, hydro-testing, and finally blast and coating. Hydro-testing in the shop allows for testing in all weather conditions, as well as eliminating any environmental concerns in the field.

Bolt Construction utilizes various types of welding techniques such as SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and SAW. Our certified welding procedures meet all of our customers’ needs.

Our quality control program begins as soon as a project is awarded. Purchase orders are written and the tracking of all heat numbers and MTRs begins.

All completed project documents are turned over to the owner, such as:
  • Weld logs with all pertinent information
  • As-builts to the customer’s satisfaction
  • NDE documentation
  • MTRs
Bolt strives to meet or exceed our client’s expectations when it comes to close out documentation.
